Jay transports them, obtains an official donation receipt, and returns that receipt to you. It costs you nothing extra and ensures that what still has value goes somewhere it can do some good and may even result in a valuable tax deduction.
You are always in control of what gets donated. If there are specific items — furniture a family member treasured, clothing from a parent's closet, anything with personal or sentimental significance — that you want donated to a specific organization rather than sold, Jay will honor that. Simply tell him before the job begins and he will set those items aside, deliver them to the organization of your choice, and return the receipt to you.
